Good call on that Good Lovin'. Givin' it another spin right now.

You must mean the 9/21/72 DS, also another great pick and my 2nd favorite DS. I was thinking about including that in my 3 picks, but felt I needed to include an Other One. Those are the 3 most essential GD songs for me when I want to hear great improv.

And my 3rd favorite DS, also from late '72 (the peak period for DS), is this gem:

Yeah--9/21. It's been a while! I recall the show--which is consistent, I thought they were starting to lose it in the Star when that riff started up out of nowhere. The the wind down into the Dew. I taped that show but lost the cassette decades ago. When they released in on DP, I still had that last ten minutes etched in my mind. That whole fall was premium.
